I am a vegetarian and I have to plug my favorite Indian vegetarian place called Udupi. It is on University Blvd, just North of Sunrise and has some great South Indian food. If you've never tried South Indian food, definitely try the Dosa which is a huge rice crepe.

The food can be a bit spicy so order a Mango Lassi, which is a sweet yogurt drink.

I love Indian food myself, definitely will try Udupi.

My own favourite of the moment is Bombay Cafe, not long opened, its on Andrews Ave just south of Oakland Park Blvd, well worth a visit.

I would also recommend the Fox & Hounds British/American Pub, on Dixie Just south of Commercial Blvd. On wednesdays and saturdays you can order from an Indian menu at around 5pm and the food will be delivered to the bar by about 6:30, a great way to get 2 ethnic experiences in one!!.
